I had to purchase this book since I live in Rockwall where the book begins, and I live, in fact, very close to where the bodies are buried!!!! I normally don’t read many mysteries, but boy howdy, as we say in Texas, this is some book. I loved it and could not put it down. I can see the movie now. It was fast paced and I could not wait to see what happened. I would highly recommend this book.

“The Lincoln Prophecy” is one of the better debut novels you’ll find. The author does a great job of setting the tone early and the action doesn’t stop until the last page. The story is very intriguing (and timely), and the setting descriptions paint a very vivid picture of the locales. Michael Riley is a very like-able protagonist, and I’m eagerly awaiting the next book in this series.

I’m not a fan of thrillers, but this one was quite engaging and enjoyable. The author clearly has a grasp of the security and privacy concerns surrounding current internet technologies. Even though the Lincoln Prophecy is a myth, the novel uses it to make a point and tell a story. It’s not often I pick up a book and finish it in less than a week while on vacation. But this one was an easy read. I highly recommend it to vacationers.

The Lincoln Prophecy is a great read with lots of fast-paced action and a well thought out plot. The book is extremely timely in today’s world of cyber security failures and privacy breaches and the author, Carter Hopkins, does a great job weaving an intriguing story line around this topic. This is a terrific debut novel and I am anxiously waiting for his next book.

Very good debut novel. Hokins built the suspense at a steady, even pace until the satisfying denouement. I liked the premise of the book, mainly because it is very topical, cyber security. Looking forward to his next Michael Riley adventure.
